PHILADELPHIA, PA

PROJECT OVERVIEW

This is the third GESA project for the School District of Philadelphia.

After successfully managing the Pilot project and overseeing the successful implementation of GESA-1, Task-1, the School District and Energia developed this project. As of November 2020, the school district’s Board of Education approved the project and the GESA team plans to move forward with comprehensive upgrades at Feltonville, Juniata Park, Willard, and Carnell Schools.

Major upgrades will occur in Summer 2021 and completed by the Fall of 2022.

The general scope of work includes comprehensive LED lighting upgrades, Boiler Upgrades, and the deployment of air conditioning at several buildings to improve the learning environment.

HIGHLIGHTS

This is the second phase of the GESA-1 initiative with the School District of Philadelphia.

After completing a successful GESA Pilot project, the District re-engaged Energia to develop a second, larger GESA initiative known as GESA-1. This project identified savings opportunities and the scope of work across many more buildings than the Pilot project. It is a five-phase plan to address HVAC upgrades and improve the student learning.

The Energia team successfully managed the Pilot project, we are actively overseeing the implementation of the GESA-1, Task-1 implementation and we are looking forward to ramping up the design and implementation for GESA-1, Task-2.
