Are you proactive?

We believe outstanding client service comes from a proactive mentality in all of our employees. Anticipating future obstacles and getting ahead of them is key to success at ECG. Each one of our team members must be a leader in the area that they represent. If being proactive comes naturally, you will thrive at ECG.

Are you willing to travel and attend night meetings?

Working with municipal agencies often requires that we attend evening meetings to provide information to their respective boards and community members. While this won’t necessarily be a weekly requirement, it’s important that you be willing and able to participate in night meetings as required.

For most positions, travel will also be a requirement. It is not unusual for our key sales and engineering leaders to travel between New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania 30 to 40% of the time.

Do you love the “thrill of the hunt?”

As a small business, our sales people have great responsibility and large territories. It will be expected that you single-handedly identify target accounts and strategies for penetrating certain target groups. A successful sales person at ECG enjoys the “thrill of the hunt” and is self motivated to generate sales activity independently, cultivate outstanding client relationships, and be unafraid to ask for the business.

Are you an experienced and skilled presenter?

Delivering high impact presentations is a key requirement of our sales people. Continually seeking out presentation opportunities, and then using them to provide compelling and persuasive presentations is how most of our business is sold. We need people who look forward to the “high” that comes from delivering a well prepared, informative, enthusiastic, and interactive presentation.

Do you enjoy “working a room?”

ECG is a relationship-based business. A significant amount of our success comes from attending networking events with our target clients. Our salespeople look forward to these events, and maximize the opportunities they present to meet new people, catch up with current clients, and make friends with other companies that service the same accounts.

Are you willing to help us innovate and develop new services? 

We are known for our ability to recognize emerging opportunities and trends in our industry and develop new services around them. You’ll need to make an effort to get educated about and stay current on everything that is going on in our industry, so that you can bring ideas on how to grow and expand our business to the table.

Part-Time, Commission-Based Business Development Position Available

The ECG Group, a leader in the field of energy performance contract consulting and design, is seeking retired Administrators for flexible, part-time, commission-based assistance with business development in K-12 School Districts and Municipalities.

We offer generous compensation.

Activities to include:

  • Setting up meetings with prospective School District/Municipality clients
  • Attending selected networking functions as an ECG Representative
  • Establishing and maintaining ongoing client relationships

To date, our efforts have resulted in $1 Billion worth of energy efficiency upgrades at K-12 Schools and Municipalities.

All projects were paid for completely out of energy savings with no out of pocket cost.
